「I was very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and very quiet. My husband and I got drink cards that allowed us each three drinks at the bar. There were free snacks available such as popcorn, nachos, and hot dogs. For breakfast the next morning there were several options such as biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and more. The staff was courteous and helpful. I would definitely stay here again! 」

「You feel like you are back in the early 1900s, except for the comforts of home. Connie and Gary took great care of us and we enjoyed the conversation at breakfast and the food very much!」

「Friday night we stayed at a Holiday Inn in Effingham. It badly needed renovations and a deep scrub. This Holiday Inn in Alton/ Godfrey is fresh, lovely rooms and hospitable! Congratulations for setting the bar!!」

「I have stayed at this location many times. They added the large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower which is a great improvement that I appreciate. The breakfast is also the best in the area. Recommend this location.」
