Rules against any food in your room and not allowed to use the breakfasts area to bring food in (pizza). Tour groups get breakfast 30 minutes earlier than guests. Bananas and oranges were cut in pieces but would not give a banana to go. No toiletries. Thin walls and Very loud.

Excellent hotel in nice location, close to the bus terminal. Lots of nice restaurants and cafes around. Service is exceptionally good. You could see Fitzroy from rooms on backside. Breakfast is ok. No eating in the room.

HIKERS BEWARE: Welcome to Prison 1. Neglect - toilet wouldn’t flush without sticking hand in tank, bathroom vanity and ceiling falling apart, hung two blankets over paper thin curtains to block bright street lights to sleep, warm/stuffy and windows slam with wind, walls are paper thin and doors make an insane amount of noise. Goodbye sleep. 2. Mismanagement - the owner requested non-emergent access to our room in the early morning and at MIDNIGHT (while DRUNK) to fix the gurgling toilet noise he could hear from downstairs, but never actually fixed the functionality of the toilet. It takes 10 minutes to flush a poop. 3. No food ANYWHERE - no food in the hotel unless served by the hotel. No mini fridge because of the no food rule, so hikers who are planning breakfast/lunch for the following day are screwed. 4. Curfew after 12:30am - locked in the hotel until reception reopens the following morning. Bizarre rule for a hotel in a town where hikers usually start their day at 2-4am for sunrise hikes. The only way out of the hotel at that hour is to preschedule having the door unlocked the afternoon before. Also a safety risk should there be an emergency (fire, earthquake, etc.) and people need to exit the building in a hurry. 5. Returning hotel key to reception - key must be returned each time you leave the hotel because the keychains are sentimental. Utter annoyance and feeling of insecurity given keys are within reach and guests names aren’t confirmed when re-obtaining keys.

Quaint clean lodging with friendly staff and standard Argentine buffet. Rooms are aged with thin walls. We heard everything from room next door, common area and front courtyard. Beware if you're a light sleeper. Conveniently located to main part of town.

The room was very neglected. Mattresses were uncomfortable, room was dusty, the shower leaked, the floor drain lid wasn’t glued in, the bathroom light switch was hanging out of the wall and so on. We slept poorly both nights as the curtains did not block out any morning light and in addition there was a row of street lamps shining into our room. However the most troubling was a handleless door that appeared to be a fire escape door that had no stairs to take you to ground level. This is a an older wooden building (on the inside) that could be overcome quickly by a fire with only a central staircase as a means of escape.

Everyone was very friendly! Place is dated but beds comfortable. Very central location. Good breakfast! However, negatives: weird rules! We cannot leave with the room key. And we are not allowed to have food in the hotel. This is really strange. Not sure why there are these odd rules. Hotels are supposed to let you be comfy and convenient but the rules were bizarre. Have never stayed somewhere where you have to give them the keys every time you go out of hotel. Seems like a safety issue.

El personal del hotel fue excelente y muy amable en todo momento, es lo único rescatable. Sin embargo, el lugar se siente más como un hostel que como un hotel; le falta mucho mantenimiento. Nos alojamos en el primer piso y el aislamiento acústico es nulo: se escucha absolutamente todo, incluso tuvimos que escuchar la cena de Navidad del dueño. Otro gran problema es la falta de ventilación; al no haber buena extracción, todos los olores de la cocina se metían en nuestra habitación. Por último, el descanso fue difícil ya que las almohadas estaban tan deformadas que preferimos dormir sin ellas. Necesita mejoras urgentes en infraestructura.

Staff was friendly and the place is cute. The beds were comfy. It’s more like a bed and breakfast. We planned an early start for a day hike and needed to pack some lunch for the trails. There was no fridge in the room and they didn’t offer any place for guest storage. Luckily we rented a car and it was cold overnight, so we kept our lunch in the car outside.

Porta do banheiro com defeito. O chuveiro não concentra a agua, tanto que acaba molhando o banheiro todo. As cortinas não são eficientes porque o quarto fica muito claro. Limitação do ir e vir porque 00:30 fecham as portas e só abrem de manhã. O café da manhã é muito fraco, tem um monte de doce ruim de padaria.

O hotel tem estacionamento, quarto com tamanho razoável, porém é um hotel bem simples. Espere uma cama confortável pra dormir, um banho razoável. O cafe da manha tem suco pronto, bolos, ovos cozidos e pao. Nao espere nada sofisticado. O espaço interno é bem agradável. Pelos preços da cidade, da pra ficar sem problemas. Bom custo benefício.

The staff at the hotel is great and make you feel great about your stay. Unfortunately the rooms need to be renovated or updated. Again, the stuff is great but that is it. Regretfully our experience with the facilities was not great at all and if we had the opportunity to go back to El chalten, this is NOT a hotel we would stay at. For the price you pay, I would expect to get a bit more specially this being a hotel and not a hostel.
