"The bed sheets and pillowcases were not replaced with fresh ones, and we could clearly smell the previous guests’ scent, especially on the pillows. It was very unpleasant. We tried to cover the pillows with the bath towels, but the towels had an extremely strong chemical disinfectant smell, which made it difficult to use them as well. The duvet cover also appeared not to have been changed. Because of the overall lack of cleanliness, my husband and I had a very uncomfortable night. We could not sleep well and felt extremely displeased with our stay."

A short walk to an atea of little restaurants and wine bars. The Hotel’s outdoor restaurant tables are under a vast, overhead grape arbor. Take the two-hour train ride to Eger from Budapest, FREE if you are over 65, as is all public transport in Hungary. Train was modern and clean. The whole country is underrated, in my view."
