Coco Reef Resort and Spa

"We stayed at Coco Reef in Aug 2026 for 5 days. The hotel has a very nice Caribbean vibe. The property is clean but could use some updating. The staff was amazing and always available when needed. They were able to arrange transportation and provide recommendations for tours. Elizabeth at the front desk was awesome! The breakfast buffet was good but recommend not waiting until 9:30 to go as they close at 10 and many items had run out. I spoke with the front desk so they could correct the situation. Our room 149 had great view of the grounds, beach, and bay."

"The stay at this hotel was mixed. The wait for our room was pretty long. I'm used to staying at the comfort inn in other parts of the world and the service is always efficient but in this case we waited like 2 plus hours for the room. Then their was a leak from the air conditioning and there was water all over the floor. I asked the front desk for a discount because of the inconvenience I was told no discount. On the flip side the shuttle service to the beach and the airport was efficient. The complementary breakfast was good as well. The leak was fixed and the overall stay in the end was good"

"Overall, we had a good experience at the Magdalena Grand. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The service we received from the team was appreciated, especially when dealing with an unexpected issue. On our first night, there was a plumbing problem and we were unable to use the water for showering. The issue was resolved later that night, and the staff made an effort to provide alternative arrangements so we could manage while it was being fixed. Their willingness to assist helped make the situation less frustrating. The breakfast was decent and similar to what you would expect at many hotels. The selection was somewhat limited and it was not particularly spectacular, but it was also not disappointing. Overall, the Magdalena Grand provided a pleasant stay. While there were a few areas that could be improved, the cleanliness, friendly staff, and good customer service contributed to an enjoyable experience"
