「The White Lion is right on the sea front, the staff were excellent, the rooms were cleaned every day and your room extra's topped up. Good shower, comfortable bed, bar and restaurant was very nice too.」

「I had made a mistake when booking the room, i booked a 'snug'. With two Golden Retrievers - a big mistake. Management were great and found us an outside room that was more suited. Loved the staff, other customers and the people in general. Felt the history.」

「Comfortable room with excellent tea making supplies - and a good sized mug each! The floor fan was useful as it was very warm. The hotel kindly allowed a later check out with a prompt and polite response to our request. Check in was efficient and simple. The evening meal was superb - great value and the pavlova! Wow! Chef’s kiss! All in all - a beautiful historic building and a really enjoyable stay. We will return I am sure. 」

「Staff super friendly. Room was bigger than imagined and spotless. We were above a lounge with a self service honesty bar, which the kids loved pretending they were bar staff and customers!! Breakfast delicious and cooked to request and Daniel the host provided our daughter with a hot Chocolate for breakfast she requested, even though it wasn’t on the menu. A delightful experience and we will 100% be returning in the future!!」
