Lovely and friendly staff, restaurant and bar recently refurbished and tastefully done and all felt very warm and accommodating. Perfect location for E Grinstead - right in the centre of town but set back off the road so not at all noisy. Rooms are cosy, clean, comfortable and well fitted out. Vastly preferable to a chain hotel. Highly recommended.

Well located to shops, restaurants, bus, and walking distance to the train station, but room was pretty basic. Many eateries in the area which serve when the in house catering is closed (open 10:00-3:00). Building is old, so not surprised by some minor plumbing issues. Staff friendly and helpful.

I truly enjoyed my three nights stay at The Gothic House. It is lovely and dainty, clean with comfortable bed/pillows. Unlike one review I read, I did not experience any in-shower hot water issues after I inquired about it.
