A little remote but worth it
Location is a little remote but the hosts were excellent and very helpful. For the money paid it was exceptional value compared to others we have stayed at.

The accommodation was really cosy and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our short stay. The hosts were really friendly and went above and beyond to give us information. The breakfasts were delicious and set us up for the day. Would definitely stay again next time we are in the area and will reccommend to friends.

Host were lovely and very welcoming. Room had most of what we needed amenity wise. However, I feel the chrome shampoo/soap holders in bathroom need to be replaced as they were rusty. Shower tray needs descaling or something. It waw nice having a seperate sofa to sit on to eat h TV, however kettle in room waw awfully dirty and needs either replacing or a good descale. I tried in vain to clean it myself and wasn't happy to use it so went to shop and used the convenient microwave to make milky coffee. Breakfast was lovely.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I will address the shower caddies.Regarding the shower base, any suggestions as to how to remove the white marks will be gratefully received. ( It's non slip tiles rather than a tray). Our mains water is chalk free, but has a lot of iron in it and I have tried several different cleaning products including bleach, descaler, neat vinegar and scrubbing hard with wire wool but nothing removes it. I go with bleach and scrubbing so it's clean. The product (an acid) that worked in the past was withdrawn 2 years ago. When people fill the kettle with mains water rather than the bottled water provided, the harmless iron precipitates out and causes the discolouration inside the kettle. Again- all suggestions welcome. I've tried bicarbonate of soda, vinegar, scrubbing with wire wool but one can't reach beneath the element nor use anything non edible.I hope you have a lovely holiday in Turkey

Pre- holiday stay-over.
Great location for Gatwick airport but far enough away for peace and quiet. Good accommodation with great breakfast. Very friendly. Visited the local area on the day we arrived. Leisurely breakfast before driving to the airport next day. We would definitely recommend.

Absolutely wonderful
Lovely property with an equally lovely host family. Staying at Courtlands made our first international trip with two littles (a 3m old and 3y old) so much less stressful. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. We couldn't have hoped for a better accommodation.

Weekend away
We were a family of 3 adults visiting friends in the area. The accommodation was more than adequate, we just needed clean, comfy beds for two nights and shower facilities along with a good breakfast to set us up for the day. We got all this & more, the room included sofa, table & chairs, microwave and plates etc, a great selection for breakfast inc. cereals, yoghurt, toast, juices, fruit and of course a fabulous full english and a very warm welcome and great service from the host Lindsay and family. Breakfast outside in the lovely garden and sunshine was a bonus but equally as enjoyable the second morning in the conservatory. We would definitely stay again.

Comfortable stay and friendly hosts
We had a most enjoyable stay.The twin room was comfortable and spacious. We had a good chat with our host and hostess over breakfast, with a wide and flexible choice of things to choose to eat. Sitting on the south facing patio in the sun was great, and our grandchildren who met us there really liked the freedom to run around the garden and play with some of the things in it. We hope to stay again on a future visit to see our family. Just one thing to watch out for....the Hotels.com website says that the owners take payment by debit or credit card, but in fact they don't. I had opted to pay on arrival and was only informed of this a couple of days before we arrived. It didn't cause me a problem in the end, but it might if you didn't pay on the Hotels site when making the booking, intending like me to pay on arrival, and didn't have either the cash or bank transfer facilities when you arrive.

We arrived outside of business hours. The owner kindly allowed us to wait in their living room until the room became available. She provided breakfast as well. There was a train strike so we couldn’t make it to London that day, she took us to the city so We could take the bus to Brighton. The only downside is that this property is in the rural area. Otherwise, it was amazing You mist have a car!

I only needed an overnight stay and was very happy with the accommodation and the owner was friendly and sociable. Pleased I asked for directions before travelling as I arrived in the dark and my sat nav died! Clean, good bedding/towels/shower, comfortable room temperature, mini fridge, microwave, kettle - coffee, tea & hot chocolate available. WiFi and tv. Ample storage. Very quiet and safe surroundings. Enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the sunny conservatory. Would definitely return if I was visiting that area again.

Excellent stay.
An excellent overnight stay. Warm and comfortable. Tea/coffee, microwave, small fridge in room. Couch and TV. Our host Lindsey, was very welcoming and accommodating. She prepared an excellent breakfast….delicious full English! If there was a negative it was our sat Nav…it didn’t take us directly there. Our return was much better….we used Google maps. An excellent stay, we’ll recommend and use Courtlands nurseries again. Thank you
