「We stayed at this lovely old hotel in a beautiful part of medieval Bamberg and had two double rooms booked. Oddly, one room had air‑conditioning while the other did not. Given the very warm weather, room 3 was quite uncomfortable with only a floor fan provided. Another small but surprising inconvenience was the absence of a kettle or tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. 「The breakfast was amazing, and the highlights of that in there. First, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, for the entire week me and my wife got maybe two hours of sleep every night, tossing and turning due to feeling all the wood and springs underneath. 「Eigentlich ein schönes Zimmer in guter Lage, aber... Wie kommt man auf die Idee eine ca 7cm hohe Stufe als Stolperfalle in ein Hotelzimmer einzubauen? Der Innenarchitekt muss geisteskrank sein! Auf jeden Fall ist meine Frau in der Nacht auf dem Weg zur Toilette dort abgerutscht, umgeknickt und hat jetzt einen komplizierten Trümmerbruch, welcher nächsten Donnerstag operiert wird. 「This hotel doesn't really have a front desk. All communication is through WhatsApp. The design is such that you hear everything, so it can be rather noisy. There are some individuals that seem to be long term residents and hangout in front of the hotel drinking and smoking. Some rooms have extremely small bathrooms that makes it hard to get in and out. The rooms are not cleaned or maintained unless you request service. On my day prior to checkout, I requested room cleaning and fresh towels and...

「I would give 10 from 10 mark... But there is one huge disadvantage - the suite we had was something like 3 or 4 floor, and the last one with a spiral case... So if you have a problem with your back or foot, or have a luggage, avoided it. But it is clean, fantastic location, very comfy bed, good kitchenette... Strangely enough the shower has no door and all the water coming out... 」
