Richard & his staff are wonderful. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the views breathtaking! We'll definitely return.

This hotel is a lovely, quaint place with friendly staff. The beds are large and very comfortable and the room we had was spacious and had a beautiful view of the water. The property is a bit dated, but in a nostalgic sort of way. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we found ourselves back in Dunoon. It was overall a quiet, comfortable stay.

A period property, well maintained. Traditional old style hotel. Parlor and common areas were beautiful and classic. Room was neat and tidy.

Booked as Dunoon but 1.23 miles from Dunoon. Reception completely laidback and idle, grounds unkempt, no restaurant nor evening meal I available, nearest evening food at Caravan Park half mile away. This is not an hotel but is a B+B near th ferry.

Great hotel opposite the car ferry terminal

A great hotel full of character with helpful staff. Spacious bedrooms and lounge, all with magnificent views. Breakfast is vegan so be warned if you want bacon and egg. It is half an hours walk to central Dunoon but there is a local shop just around the corner. Plenty of car parking space.

Charming hotel

Lovely hotel , charming .. we had a large executive room very spacious comfy bed , sea views , 20 minutes to town but nice walk along the front. Nice breakfast staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyable stay

Great Location

Great Location with great views. 5 Minutes walk from the Ferry terminal. Great Bar, quiet location. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. At the time the only food available was breakfast. 5 mins by taxi to town centre.

Very nice location, beautiful place, we were allowed to check in late. We arrived at 1am. Staff very helpful. Unfortunately we could not stay there for long but would love to come back.

Beautiful setting, good comfort

Passning through in your dag from Ovan ti Edinburgh, just staying over night. Spacious room with sea view, comfortable bed and bed linen, spacious bathroom and towels of good quality right by the ferry. Good breakfast.

A real gem .

Perfect experience . Hotel fantastic in every way . Staff couldn’t do enough to help us . So friendly . We look forward to coming back to this idyllic spot . Absolutely faultless . Thank you so much to everyone at the hotel for making it such a wonderful experience .

Sehr gut erhaltenes 150 Jahre altes Hotel

Tolle große Zimmer. Interessante Lichtschalter im Bad. Nette Einrichtung. Konnten am offenen Kamin bei einem Gratis Bier sitzen. Gutes frisches Frühstück. Nettes Personal.

New Year Break

Hotel very nice good facilities. Bar limited in opening hours,but there was a caravan park close by (15 minutes walk) or you could walk into town for a night out.

Great views and very welcoming

Superb location next to the ferry with great views. Recently become a Vegan hotel which we were not aware of when booking. Interesting breakfast but I missed my bacon, eggs and beans. We were their very first guests and wish them good fortune with their new venture.

Elegant building, lovely bay view from lounge

Staff helpful, spacious room upper floor, lovely building and lounge area with a bar and bay views. Breakfast nothing special. Comfortable room and quiet with view of bay from side window. Bus or taxi into Dunoon accessible for restaurants at dinner.

Classic older style hotel

Nice older hotel with good views to the water. Spacious and big bathroom. On the far side if wanting to walk into town but ample parking. Goof for a night stay. Staff were friendly.

A trip into 19th Century Dunoon

This Hotel which was a former residence of Mr. Hunter a big Industrial person from Glasgow and turned into a very beatiful hotel. Sitting inside of the bar lobby near the semi circular windows you can overlook the bay and listen to the seagulls and then and when the small ferry boats from Gourock. Good parking facilities . Beatiful rooms and the staff is very helpful. If you need to reflect or write a book, there couldn't be any better place.

Nice old English style hotel next to sea/lake

Nice elegant old English style hotel right infront of the sea or the holy loch extension. Caretakers are nice and make you feel at home. Drawing room where they serve the drinks impressed me the most.
