The Commodore was easy to find and a great place to stay. The bed was comfortable, shower great and easy walking distance to the rugby. We would definately stay there again.

We had a great stay. Owners were accomodating of our late arrival. Rooms were spacious and well suited to our family of 4. For us, easy walking distance to University, and Forsyth Barr stadium was walkable too. Would stay again.

Ensured we had locked our doors as an empty bottle of alcohol and cigarette butts outside room we were on 2nd level & being non smokers & drinker was a bit eerie. Service facilities excellent. Safe area was a blessing and hosts and staff very accommodating.

Our stay was great the staff were very friendly and accommodating even helped with allowing an extra guest for a night. The neighbours can be a bit loud with there music but this is to be expected being by student accommodation and coming down at the start of o week but they would settle down by the start of noise control cerfew which was great but tolerated will definitely stay again when next down

Good value accommodation close to the Botanic Gardens. Rick was very welcoming when I arrived. Room well equipped for self-catering, bed comfortable, shower excellent. I'd definitely stay there again.

The beaches were within minutes of this hotel. We even were able to walk to a restaurant for supper. Vikki was very very accommodating with whatever questions we had. Very informative. We stayed two nights and so glad we did.

Lovely folk. Appreciated the welcoming text prior to arrival. Room was all one could need and very clean! Not a frequent user, so it could have helped to have had the fridge switched on - or told it was off. No I didn't notice for a day and a bit. Liked that they gave an eco responsible option for towels/waste bags etc
