「This hotel was a very nice stop in the heart of Clarksdale. We arrived the day after the Juke Joint Festival had concluded, so things were pretty quiet. We never saw any staff (or other guests) during the short time we were at the hotel, so we let ourselves into the building (and our room) using codes provided via text. Part of the parking spaces taken up by construction and demolition items, raw wall, broken floor tiles, elevator had hole in wall cover and crunchy floor. No signs to acknowledge disrepair! The outside edifice matches the decor expected but the interior makes me feel like Motel 6 had more to offer!! The breakfast was very subpar for the brand’s typical quality. 「Remodeled a couple of years ago. LVL flooring in wood look was clean, furniture still old and beat up with handles missing, new mattress with clean sheets, clean towels, soap, new toilet and new sink vanity. Overall clean, comfortable and quiet at night. A/C new and worked great. 」
