I booked for 5 days, Sounds to loud early in the morning, they provide water and tea just for the first day. I had to pay staff for the rest of my stay.

5 mins walk to al Rigga station. A lots of restaurants near by. The Filipina front desk is very accommodating and kind. The ceiling of the room is old specially in the washroom they need replacement. Over all we are safe and get some good sleep. Stayed for 2 nights.

Check-in took longer time. Had to wait about 10 - 15 min before the receptionist could attend me.

I was given a smoker rom even though I booked a non smoker room.
There was a lot of noise / loud Music in the hotel.
The reception wanted 200 dirham in disposit when I checked in, which was very Strange - I never experinced anything like that before.

Great location in Al Rigga area of Deira, Friendly and helpful staff. However the hotel rooms are dated and need refurbishment. Water pressure is poor and very little, if any hot water at anytime of day/night.
Another down side was we had booked 2 single occupancy rooms (higher rate than 2 people sharing a room) My friend (in one room) had his girlfriend come and stay and was charged an extra 100aed per night ! Even on the final night, which we had paid upto 12 noon and had to leave at 1am for flight, hit charges for lowing her into the room ? The details in the hotel diary are also out of date with pool times and bar opening and name of bars available in the hotel. ** for info** if you have lower floor room you will here music coming from the Metro Manila bar and Cheers bars (this didn’t affect us) You will also be charged a refundable deposit per room on arrival and local tax

Summary: Based on our experience, we unfortunately cannot recommend the Grand Central Hotel. The issues we experienced, from lack of security to exorbitant extra charges, made our stay more problematic than enjoyable. We hope that the hotel takes this feedback into account to improve future guest experiences.
The only bright spot during our stay was the Filipino staff, whose friendliness and service stood in stark contrast to the poor treatment of the rest of the staff. It is our sincere opinion that the hotel's management should re-evaluate its HR strategy to improve the guest experience. "A brilliant aspect of the hotel's operations is the exceptional efforts of the Filipino staff. Their hard work and dedication have been invaluable and have contributed greatly to the success of the business. To further enhance the customer experience and optimize operations, it would be beneficial for hoteliers to consider integrate more employees with similar competencies and work ethic demonstrated by the Filipino staff

Its Good for the Price
Good hotel for a short stay for the price. Parking is available but we need to pay AED20 per night. Beware there are no electric sockets inside the room. We need to unplug the lamps and use those sockets for charging our phones or whatever.
