The room was clean, good bed,but staff not so much.tje front desk closes at 9pm,,I told them I would not be in till 11pm.they called me 3 times,to critique me about being late and when I was getting there
This is a basic no extras older motel; however, the staff were incredibly kind and the room, although outdated was clean and comfortable. It is located next to lots of businesses and the main street. The breakfast is mediocre, there is Bagels, toast and cereal basically. There was nothing for people who can't eat gluten, no fruit, no meat, eggs, etc. I would stay here again though, just make different plans for breakfast. The price was right and when you only need a bed for the night, it fits
Room was clean and nice. Shower was awesome! Only complaint is the plug ins for vehicle block heaters werent working and at -29 overnight the truck just avout didnt start the next morning.

The room was very crafty, and I could feel cold air coming in around the air conditioner! It was about -30 Celsius the first night, and the blankets were insufficient to keep us warm! I had to sleep with my winter coat on. We told the staff in the morning, and it was quite a bit better the second night, but we needed the 2 extra blankets the staff supplied us with! The breakfast wasn’t very good either! The hard boiled eggs tasted old, and we couldn’t eat them, so went to McDonald’s both mornings! It was a a big disappointment, and we won’t stay there again! The room was clean and the price was reasonable, so I guess we got what we paid for!

We came from Calgary to see the play Miracle on 34th Street at the Rosebud Opera Theatre. We arrived at the Econo Lodge in Drumheller and found it closed, no lights on and a sign on the door saying "closed between 8-9pm!!!
I phoned a number on the sign, but no answer. I knocked on the door and phoned again several times. It was -16C and it took 15-20 minutes before a head appread from a over the office door demanding in an irritated voice what we wanted!
I had ised we had a reservation. When he came down, finally, he complained that he didn't have a phone number to call me to cancel the booking, but begrudingly gave us a room.
I have never been treated with such hostility by an innkeeper in my 60+ years of traveling.
NEVER NEVER staying here again!!!
water dripping on the exterior stairs made them extremely dangerous to walk on.

When we arrived, the clerk was rude to us. He made us correct our resv outside at 0100 in the morning.
Then acted as iff it was a inconvenience to check us in.
A simple motel room. No major complaints really. The bed was a bit stiff, and you could hear the people walking by pretty clearly, but for the price it was fine. The lady at check-in and check-out though was super polite and courteous. Pretty decent location though, with lots of dinos within walking distance.
The motel is an OK place to stay, but not great. There are a few concerns.
The motel does have breakfast, but were told during check-in it was from 8-9AM. I asked to confirm it was just from 8-9 and he said yes. My wife gave a little laugh, realizing she probably wouldn't get breakfast & he got mad, telling her don't laugh. She said she could if she wanted to, &he said no, she couldn't. The short time will certainly limit how many will have breakfast & save them money, as those leaving early or wanting to sleep in won't. We were also told they clean rooms every second day.
When we opened the room we were given, we saw the bed was not made, then realized there were bags & other things still in it - it was still occupied. Luckily, no one was in it at the time, or it could have been a lot more awkward. We got a different room & moved in. The bed was comfortable & the room seemed clean, but was poory finished. It had vinyl plank flooring with some gaps between, & the floor underneath was obviously not leveled, as there was noticeable movement when stepping on some areas. These together mean you could pinch your foot.
One thing that definitely concerned me, although it didn't affect us directly, since we didn't need it, was that a rollaway bed was stored outside the 3 days we were around. It was in a somewhat sheltered spot, but was exposed to any animals & windblown rain. It rained our second day & I saw it had been pushed a little further under the shelter.

Rooms are dated, flooring should be replaced, location is right downtown which is a positive as close to restaurants and walking around. Mostly quiet at night except for random noisy vehicles. The continental breakfast could be improved by offering simple hot breakfasts not just toast
