「Qwantani is a beautiful oasis in the mountains with a variety of activities to help you explore and connect with the land. The accommodations are simple but comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. A lovely pool to cool off in. The location is stunning, with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and dam. The only catch is you have to drive about 30-40 minutes on a dirt road with potholes to get there! But completely worth the drive!!」

「Great property in a wonderful location. Food was excellent, accomodation well designed, clean and comfortable and all staff were friendly and helpful. Good base for exploring the Royal Natal Park but don’t miss the walks on the property.」

「We had a 1 night stay over at the Golden Gate hotel. We initially thought we booked at the hotel but was surprised that we had booked a chalet. The chalet was perfect with its own braai (BBQ) outside and all the amenities required for a proper self catering experience. Would definitely stay there again as it about a 15 minute scenic drive to Clarens.」

「Wonderful little spot! The lady at reception was so friendly and the unit was clean, cosy and comfortable. We met a lovely kid you the name of Fanfan, who sometimes sells clay African animals across the road from windmill farm. What a lovely young man- go meet him if he is around. 」

「This place is a small piece of heaven! Great service from all staff right from the very beginning. Before arrival - Comms were timely and accurate and helpful. The meals provided were great (especially the Oxtail stew! 😋) and delivered to your individual lodge. The situation of the lodge is beautiful - wherever you look the scenery transfixes you. 「This was my second stay here and the staff made the stay perfect. They were, pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable and so accommodating. The room floors could do with a scrub as well as washing and tidying up the curtains. Other than that everything else was perfect. Washroom facilities were spot on but shower floor corners need a clean. What we took away...the beautiful staff. They are your best assets there. Then comes the views. Thank you Emma and Team」

「We had 2 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend a helicopter ride with westline aviation right next to the hotel. We did the flight up to the amphitheatre and the scenery is stunning! The chalet was spacious and clean and equipped with everything we needed for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. 」
