Great view - helpful staff

Great staff - very helpful! Apartment with everything you need but a little worn out. However - with a location like this you didn’t come to look at the interior:-) wonderful view over the lake.

Fantastische accommodatie en locatie!

Na enkele slingerbochten bereik je aan de top van een niet te hoge berg dit prachtige appartementencomplex met het meest fantastische uitzicht dat er bestaat! Het zwembad en alle appartementen (7 totaal) hebben een weids uitzicht. De 1e drie op de 1e etage, de andere 2 op de 2e etage. Alles met trap, er is geen lift. De leiding is supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ideaal voor honden. Het appartement (wij hadden 102, de grootste) beschikt over een goede oven, vaatwasser en koffiezetapparaat en is inclusief handdoeken en beddengoed. Het ligt afgelegen, je kunt dus niet makkelijk een dorpje in lopen voor een broodje of krantje dus sla groot in bij de Lidl in Delebio. Daarvoor moet je de auto pakken. Voordeel is dat het heerlijk rustig is. Wie goed kan sturen kan altijd binnen parkeren. Leuke uitstapjes in de buurt zijn de watervallen van Chiavenna, Orrido di Bellano (in dit plaatsje vind je ook de beste pizza bij Bar Testori en kun je overdag lekker liggen en zwemmen aan het lido). Rijd niet te hard door Corenno Plinio maar loop ook eens door dit middeleeuws gehucht en maak de mooiste foto's. Op vrijdagochtend breng je een bezoek aan de weekmarkt in Colico en drink je een cappuccino op 1 van de terrasjes. En 's middags of bij slecht weer geniet je gewoon van je prachtige, ruime appartement, waar je vanaf de middag de zon op je balkon hebt en kunt zonnen op je ligbed. Enige minpuntje? Beetje gehorig. Maar 23.00 uur is het stil, schluss. Boek dit en geniet!

Nice views, not a bad place to stay.

The good: Nice views of the lake since you are up high, full kitchen great for cooking, host lent us olive oil on the first night since we got there late and wanted to cook dinner (thank you so much!), didn't run out of hot water, good shower, quiet location, free wifi, free parking, access to jacuzzi (although there is a 20 Euro charge for a 1-hour use.) The not so good: Sheer curtains in the living room and kitchen so people walking by your balcony to get to their apartment can see inside when it's evening and you have the lights turned on in the apartment (non-sheer curtains would be great and allow more privacy), Also, it would have been nice to have had a microwave to heat things up like coffee and a full-length mirror on a wall would have been great to see yourself once you're dressed. Internet was spotty at times. I was fine with the bed but my husband found it a little uncomfortable. TIP: Have a small car since you have to wind yourself up the mountain and then make a sharp 90 degree turn to get in the garage which can be tricky.

A less touristy part of Lake Como

Away from the crowds, this very clean and comfortable lodging is like having your own apartment from which to do day trips to places like Bellagio, St. Moritz, and Lugano. The family that operates Residence Dorio are helpful, kind and accommodating. We had a great time and enjoyed getting off the usual tourist path for awhile. Highly recommended.

Fantastic!

Only for one night, wish we knew before what paradise this was, next time we will stay longer. The owner is such a amazing, friendly and helpful person. 100% perfect service! We are very happy to have stayed there. The pool, the view, are amazing. Only negative, is a little bit tight and diffucult to park if you drive big car, or sportscar. But parking is in basement, wich is perfect.

Incredible views alone are well worth the hike!

Our apartment was ideal: clean, spacious, well-furnished and with unbelievable views from the balcony. It's a steep hike up there, which isn't much fun in the heat with suitcases, but it's well worth it! Hosts were friendly and largely left us to our own devices after ordering pizzas for us on arrival and taking us to the supermarket the next morning. Brilliant, and we'll likely be back - though maybe with a hire car this time!

El recibimiento de Paolo fue excelente. Indicó todos los servicios, visitas y posibilidades en el lago. Se ofrece para llamar al restaurante mas cercano y que lleven comida al apartamento. El entorno es fantástico y la tranquilidad del lugar absoluta. Tres noches se hicieron cortas. Mucho mas que recomendable. Nos encantó todo.

Amazing value, host and view

Thank you expedia to find the perfect stay at lake como. Residence Dorio is absolutely recomended for families and large groups. The 3 bedroom apartman is spacious, very clean and the lake view is breathtaking. The host family is friendly and gives you all the information what you need.

Foto che rispecchiano la struttura splendido pulito e caldo l appartamento con tutti i comfort vista lago mozzafiato. .silenzio assordante x chi vuole rilassarsi posto auto gratuito. Abbiamo prenotato la jacuzzi eravamo in 4..ed è stata fantastica!prezzo eccellente..che dire ci tornerò sicuramente!..unica cosa..consiglio di fornirsi di accappatoi e phon! Bom, mas de difícil acesso

O acesso ao local é difícil, impossível sair para caminhar a pé. As acomodações são boas, limpas, amplas, mas o dormitório fica no andar de cima e o banheiro embaixo. Na descrição do hotel esses detalhes não constavam. A cozinha é bem equipada com fogão, forno, geladeira, freezer, louças, panelas e talheres. Para se chegar ao apartamento também tinha um lance de escadas, o que impossibilitou subirmos comtoda a bagagem.

Lake view

The place was very spacious and clean. It had all the basic amenities and the kitchen was quite large. There was a beautiful view of lake Como from the balcony. The train station was near the house. The owners of the place were very nice and hospitable. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great service; challenging parking

The people who run Residence Dorio provided great customer service. They helped us order pizza (we don't speak Italian) and recommended other places around town. The hotel was clean and my kids enjoyed the (very cold) pool which had an amazing view. My only complaint was the parking. Although they do offer parking, it was very difficult to maneuver our vehicle in and out of their parking garage. Getting to the hotel also required several challenging, 180-degree turns. (We have a 7-passenger van.) All in all, once we were in our apartment, we were very happy with the hotel.
