"although the room is tiny and there is no elevator (other than a tiny one for your luggage), the design of the whole place is stylish and nicely executed. I especially love the common area. There are so many interesting books (in Chinese) that I would love to read. Sure will go back to stay with Hok House next time I visit Kaohsiung."

"Great little hotel a short walk from the private ferry port on Xiaoliuqiu. Staff didn't speak very much english, but they were very kind and helpful. Parking is easy. Wifi was no great in our room, but useable. Really nice shower and everything was super clean. There is also a really nice rooftop terrace with a view of the coast of the big island and a pretty good view of the stars too! "

The staff did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. One staff member even accompanied us to a local restaurant to assist us ordering our dinner as the restaurant staff spoke little English. "This room had big beds, a small area where we could eat, and a clean bathroom. The location is near a night market. The highlight was the pool next door (swim lanes and spa area). We loved the morning pool crowd. We didn't have the breakfast, but there was a cart in the hall with tea bags and cups. "
