The biggest issue is the smell. I understand it’s an old building, so it has that typical old, musty smell. The room has only one window, and the AC unit is installed in it, so very little natural light comes in. On top of that, the room smells like weed smoke coming through one of the vents.

Room has air conditioning and it’s cleaned daily.

First of all, my review is on no reflection of the staff. They were actually the best part of our stay. I give them high marks. As far as the hotel property is concerned, I wouldn’t stay there again. I booked the room because of the kitchenette. When we went to heat up our leftovers, It did not work. I was sent to an unoccupied room in the lower level to use the microwave in there. Our bathroom did not shut completely. I went with a friend and obviously we could not have complete privacy when using the restroom. When my friend went to cut her leftovers , the large steak knife was loose at the hinge and she couldn’t use that either. The bed was a little smaller that I anticipated for 2 people. One more thing, at first, the safe wouldn’t open. A maintenance man swiftly fixed it. It worked for the first few days and then it would not accept the code I had been using all along. Once again I had to contact the desk for maintenance. Unfortunately it was later in the evening and I had to wait til morning. My iPad was in there so I could not use it as I had planned until the next day. I had asked to move our room and the fellow at the front desk said he could not until the next morning, which we did. The microwave worked, the bathroom door shut and the safe worked. We only ended up in that room for one night. I won’t be going back there again. I do thank the folks who worked there as they were very pleasant.

Honestly had the best time at PUBLIC. Everything about the hotel was practical & it was so comfortable. The staff members, especially Harry & Payton, were very accommodating throughout our visit. The hotel has SO many amenities that are worth checking out. The whole space is very aesthetically pleasing. Make sure you check out the cafe on the ground floor. Everything was 10/10. They have robes & slippers upon request. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!
