I reached early and I was thankful that the stuff provided me with an early check in and a room upgrade. The hotel room is very comfortable and luxurious. I also appreciate the welcome drinks to put guests at ease. However, several points to raise - as there are many floors, the lifts often take a while - service was rather slow: check-in took a while, I was asked to sit to wait for my room to be checked at check-out but I was just forgotten and I needed to remind the staff; requests for room service took very long - tv was difficult to use - Russian or Vietnamese language; tv channel options not English friendly - hotel provided a beach area with deck chairs but - very few chairs available; no towels early in the morning and was told need 1h wait - one of the wardrobe doors could not be closed (light switch inside will be on if the door is not closed) - room door does not swing shut unlike most modern hotels; it closes but will remain ajar at the end , leaving guests a false sense of security that it will close when it won’t - a lot of advertisements about World Cup screening but there was none - noisy at night from surrounding music

This hotel is perfectly situated on Nha Trang's beachfront in the center of the action. However it is marred by aging and poorly maintained infrastructure. I checked into the Junior Suite. Within 15 minutes of settling in I noticed a pool of water on the floor right behind the entrance door. Turns out the AC Ventilation was leaking. I requested a room change and about an hour later they upgraded me to the Executive Suite. A couple of days later, I was flushing the toilet when the bathroom floor drain next to the toilet violently backed up with clear water and large clumps of black pipe scale/sediment due to some bottleneck deep in the lines creating some kind of geyser effect. They sent up a technician and he blasted jet water down the drain and told me it was fixed. I asked for the area to be sanitized because if the drain and toilet lines were mixed then it seemed like it was a combination of grey and waste water. I don't know how serious the staff is about proper decontamination protocols because when he was working to unclog the drain, he actually went in barefoot after seeing it. I don't know if there is a leak or if the sink countertop is sloped unevenly to right but a pool of water always accumulates after repeated use. I didn't bother reportinh this. And in my last day, I found a half-alive cockroach in the Jacuzzi. I've been to several hotels in the country. This is the first time I've ever encountered issues like and had to call reception for it.
