Just the most fabulous view, and very comfortable room. We really enjoyed our one-night stay here as we traveled the ring road. It was nice to walk around the property and explore a bit.

krackhamar Apartments are wonderful —beautifully appointed, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed. The beds are very comfortable, and the modern bathroom features intuitive fixtures and easy-to-control water temperature.-thoughtful touches The well-equipped kitchenette includes a refrigerator with freezer. Clear instructions for check in. Wi-Fi is excellent.. highly highly recommend for families.

Our unit was very nice, modern, and everything worked great. Kitchenette with plates, utensils, etc for 4, and a nice shower. We knew we would be arriving late (around 11pm) and our hosts were great to let us know that the late arrival wouldn't be a problem, and they even said we could knock on their farmhouse door if we needed anything, which we didn't have to do, but it was a kind gesture. Great stay!

Beautiful setting

Cosy and quiet, this clean little apartment had everything we needed for an overnight stop. The kitchenette has a two-ring hot plate, a microwave and equipment if you want to cook. The beautiful views over the water out to the mountains is a bonus

Such an amazing pit stop on our way around the Ring Road. Our favorite accomodations of the trip. Modern and clean. It was an amazing view!!! I loved the little trails around to the cliffs. It is a bit far from a town, but we didn't mind and it was communicated well.

This was one of the favorite places we stayed while doing the ring road. The place has three duplexes, so six units each and are located on a farm with a view of the water to the front and mountains to the rear. It’s right off the ring road but located fairly far from any towns so we brought food and were able to use the kitchenette which had everything we needed to cook dinner. Check in and out was easy via the lockbox. There was only one other guest in a separate duplex so we really felt like we had our own little spot.

beautiful accomodations

We were greeted by the friendly owner. Having a kitchenette and living area was a welcome sight. Our first night (different hotel) was a very small room so the extra space was a welcome relief. The room was very clean and the views were stunning. There is a small deck with chairs to sit and enjoy the view. GPS had difficulty finding this but luckily we found a very helpful person to send us back in the correct direction. It is right on the ring road so it shouldn't have been a problem.

Excellent Ring Road Stay Outside Djupivogur

Very clean well situated unit, friendly host. The unit had lots of nice touches such as freshly ground coffee waiting in the kitchen, clear they had done what they could to make for a very nice stay. When you see photos like the one of the reindeer you figure that has to be like something that happens once in a while but then lo and behold. Djupivoger is nearby and has a few nice things to offer, but the host mentioned some hiking trails right there to try that we would have if not trying to time road closures during a freak June snowstorm. Highly recommend as a ring road stop. Great location for Puffins is within a day’s travel as well (Borgarfjordur).
