"After having read a number of negative reviews about this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed in one of the nice renovated rooms. The hotel was in a lovely location close to the castle. The service was good and staff helpful. My only small complaint is there was no shower gel in my room nor milk for tea/coffee."

"Really pleased, great for an overnight stop. The room was small but all we needed, functional and very clean. Staff were really friendly and great fun. Because it's 'cheap and cheerful' most of the guests were working people passing through, so by 9pm the large car park had lots of work vans. I looked out at the car park at about 5am and it was full, at 7am there were only a couple left and 5 cars. (The car park is gated and locked at night). "A great addition would be to have a light in the stairway, especially after sunset the stairway is very dark. The room did not have AC, luckily it was not extremely warm when we visited. Our room was like a studio apartment, it would’ve been great for an extended stay with the kitchen and bar seating area."
