「Owners were so nice, bed was great, linens and towels were wonderful. House is very old and only drawback (which is original to the house and should not be changed!) is the bar/latch style door handles. The Violet Room has its private bathroom across the hall landing, but if you get up in the night as we do, you do make a lot of noise rattling those handles! 「This was on a family trip after burying our mother. We were the ONLY ones staying, yet they wouldn't give us the cabin with wi fi. The old lock locked us out late at night and it took 30 minutes for them to help us. When I complained, they kicked us out and called the police who had us drive away in the middle of the night with an 11 yr old. 」

Both the gentleman who let me in at night as well as the two ladies who I interacted with during the day were truly kind and decent and despite my—perhaps—haggard looking condition, treated me kindly and with respect. The woman who helped me in the morning was especially patient and nice but naturally gave out a vibe that demanded respect and showed she was in charge, but in a professional and not at all overbearing manner. 「A very nice B&B run by friendly happy owners. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Our room was cozy, our breakfast was delicious, and this beautiful historic home is close to everything with seeing in Shelburne.」
