"The setting is lovely, secluded, and with a pool and beautiful deck, bar area, perched in the tropical hills. It is a stunning setting. The driveway to the Resort is steep and challenging, especially the first time. Once you've made it to the top, it's worth it. We would stay there again. "

"We stayed one night as it was close to the airport and we knew we’d be arriving in the dark. The hostess and her family were so lovely and welcoming. We arrived later than expected and though we had not reserved a dinner meal the hostess graciously made us some sandwiches. The breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again in a heart beat. "The Anchorage was just what we needed -- location on the main street with parking for our rental car; clean room with AC, mini frig, electric teakettle/coffee & tea supplies; bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, and open closet/shelves; storm window with a view of the ocean; friendly staff; and a full restaurant right next door! The restaurant is located at Ocean's Edge and served us breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, take-away, and even has a bar. There is also a Dive Shop at Ocean's Edge for renting snorkel gear, scuba excursions, and whale watching tours. Anchorage has a meeting room for rent available and an outdoor bar/dance area for rent. (We enjoyed listening to live music one night during our stay.) Note: Anchorage has 12 hotel rooms, with 3 on the ground floor, and the others accessible via stairs. They also have a 3-bedroom apartment with kitchen for rent. Other 10-room block at Anchorage was damaged several years ago in Hurricane Maria. Hopefully this will be renovated in future. When we were at Anchorage their pool had suffered a bit of damage from Hurricane Beryl, so was empty of water and getting painted. Also, the "beach" at Anchorage is very rocky, so wear water shoes and look for waves/current/large rocks before entering.
