"Great getaway and beautiful river venue - good consideration for large gatherings close to DFW; Friendly and knowledgeable staff; however, we stayed on a Tuesday night and staff left at 5 so no access to recreation cabin, ice, lodge until next morning. Close enough to Mineral Wells to get dinner and drinks at the few places that were open on a Tuesday evening. Fishing dock was pleasant and strolling the grounds a unique experience. Bed just okay. Room and BR extremely clean and quiet. No need...

Best hotel I stayed at in a while
"At check-in a smiling lady greeted me and gave me a choice of rooms she also gave me a great restaurant to eat at. After 9 surprisingly quiet and coffee was alway available. When I checked out a gentleman helped me and he was quite pleasant too. The breakfast that was offered was the best I have had in a hotel and know it was good and well prepared. The only negative is the soft lighting in the room never could find the switch to turn them off. "
