「We really enjoyed the hotel. The 1922 lounge was great and so was the Carries' restaurant. Very good food and drinks. Staff was very helpful. The downtown area was clean and centrally located. We saw a number of homeless people on the sidewalk. But that had nothing to do with the hotel.」

「We liked the hotel and it's charm. However, our room was crawling with ants. There were ants on the towels, the bathtub, and they found their way into our toiletries overnight. We should have known something was up when we spotted an ant trap around the sink. We brought this to the attention of the staff first thing in the morning (no one is available at night) and we were greeted with a shrug. Expedia tried, but could not resolve the issue. The room was clean and the breakfast was good....
