"Great location in old Riga. Lots of restaurants within minutes of the hotel. Museums also within a few min walk. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast has warm loaves of bread and some of the best hardboiled eggs I’ve had in a breakfast buffet. Staff was friendly. "

"The hotel & spa is situated on the edge of the Old Town.  Perfect for sightseeing.  I walked everywhere.  There are bars, restaurants and shopping located right on your doorstep.  Rooms were small and very hot despite it being cold outside.  The room included complimentary toiletries, an iron, a hairdryer, hot water and more.  There is a mini bar in the room too.  WIFI worked well.  The hotel was clean.  I didn't include breakfast nor use the spa.  My difference between a 4 and 5 star was that...

"Great stay, however I booked a queen sized bed and they ran out of queen beds so I had two twins in my room instead."

"We had a wonderful two night stay at the Grand Poet. Great location, with an easy walk to everywhere, yet away from the noisy crowds. Lovely, spacious room, comfortable bed with super soft sheets, beautiful bathroom also. Breakfast was plentiful, including lactose and gluten free options. The Snob bar staff was also very friendly, reserving a table and turning the tv to tennis channel for us. All in all one of the best hotel stays and would happily stay here again!"
