「Overall，it was a terrible experience. We stayed there for just one night this time. When arriving with my friends at the hotel, a girl asked us to sit down at the lobby and wait for checking in. So we did. My understanding was that she would bring all the paper forms to us for filling in. Then she came and asked me to go to the counter, which is about 30 meters away from where we sit. 「From start to end, it was an extraordinary experience to stay at the Taru Villas Maia. Most friendly service, wonderful room, lovely pool area. Loved the good coffee and tea (and fresh milk!) in the room, very comfortable bedding and the big shower. Food (breakfast & dinner) was also outstanding. We mostly had Sri Lankan dishes and loved it. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Would return immediately!🙂」

「My friend and I stayed here for 1 night at the beginning of our 6 day tour of Sri Lanka. This place is beautiful, peaceful and quiet and I wished we had stayed longer. The rooms are elevated and there is a walkway to them . My room are spacious, clean, with a seated area and I had a wrap around view of the forest. We ate at the restaurant and the food was amazing. 「Lovely setting with pool and beautiful garden. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great. I thought this was good value for the price we paid. Areas for improvement: no towles supplied initially (had to ask), lack of toiletries in the room (no hand soap), wifi does not work, food at restaurant quite expensive. We wanted to have two beds but the rooms have inbuilt king beds so there was a small uncomfortable single bed added. No room service unless you ask and provide your...
