「House was beautiful and the upstairs room was very spacious and comfortable. Host was friendly and helpful. We were only there for an overnight get away. We loved our stay and had a quiet, relaxing time. Thanks for everything!」

「As we were staying with our dog we were very pleased with the location. It was a very quiet wooded area which we loved but yet only 5 minutes to town. We had a wonderful dinner at the lodge. As an added bonus was Dollar Lake, which is not the lake you see next to the lodge. It was a short jaunt across from the main lodge where we enjoyed walking our dog. It is private and only available to those staying at Chanticleer Inn. The beach was sandy and the water was clear. A neat little gem. We would...

「Fantastic resort for winter beauty. It was very quiet and felt remote. There were no issues, but would have liked to talk to the office more about the resort, but due to the time of year and occupancy, the office hours were limited.」

「We had a group of 6 adults that were in town for the Septimber Ride in Eagle River. The house was spacious, clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable as well as the living and dining room furniture. It is unique as the house is on a working cranberry farm. They have live music and public events but in no way does it infringe on the accommodations. They have free tours if interested in learning about cranberry bogs. We all did the tour and was fun and very enlightening!! Also a gift shop on...

「We reserved the property and a few hours later it was cancelled on us. There was no way to contact the owner and the website information was horrible. The property may have been nice but we didn’t get a chance to find out. We had insurance on the property (that was canceled on us) and it took a 1 hour call to get a credit back. The property rental availability is not in sync with Expedia and made for a total waste of time. Beware!」

「The house and boat were clean and ready to go! The property manager was helpful and kind. It helped make our vacation wonderful」

「It was a beautiful place and everything and more than we expected. It is on our list of places we plan to return to.」

「The Hillbilly Lodge exceeded our expectations. The home and property were beautiful. Larry was very helpful and made sure our stay was enjoyable. We will be back to the Hillbilly Lodge!」
