"I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. The room itself was just okay—basic but functional. However, it didn’t feel very clean. There was an awful smell in the room that never went away. There were visible marks on the walls, a stale smell, and the bathroom could definitely use a more thorough scrubbing. It is well signposted and accessed by a short gravel road. It is a 20 minute walk into the new village for a bar/cafeteria meal (the old village is a bit further away and that was a famous Peninsular War battle site, but now it has nothing else)."
