「The Riu is a MASSIVE hotel, with lots of rooms, huge swimming pools, huge restaurants, and lots of food. It's like a huge mall, people everywhere, noise and music. If this is your kind of hotel, then it's a great one. The Costa Rican green surroundings are gorgeous and the beach is nice. But I found it to be more entertaining/distracting than relaxing. It's like a neon-supersize-24hrs all you can eat place, which is not, personally, for me.」

「Hot spring river is amazing」

「Had a great stay great location」

「Amazing place」

「The breakfast is terrible . The renew room is fine . Cut the rest is terrible also. 」

「This hotel deserves zero stars if that were an option. It was a terrible experience, and here’s why: 1. Outdated Facilities: The roof appears to have been neglected for years, and the overall condition of the facilities is poor. 2. Worn-out Bedding: The bed linens were old and tattered, making for an uncomfortable sleep. 3. Unpleasant Odor: The room smelled damp and musty, reminiscent of an old, poorly ventilated house. 4. No Umbrellas Provided: On a rainy night, the so-called resort had no...

「Thank you very much to all the staff! Great service!! I’d like to mention especially Andreina, from the Pimento Restaurant and all staff there! Awesome service!!!」

「We’ve payed around 5000 dollars to enjoy 3 days and 2 nights, considering that we were star class, the check-in process was fine, they explained us our benefits, etc… During this period of time, the food was awful. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner is this So Cal Buffet, and the quality of the food was horrible. The food was cold, cheap, disgusting and even hard to even look at or swallow. The people next to the table even called the food ‘’ass’’. And I totally agree. The lunch menu was fine,...

「I stayed at Secrets Papagayo in October when the resort was at 60% capacity, so it was pleasantly relaxed and never felt overcrowded. I’d read complaints about the shuttles, and it’s true that the steep layout makes walking around difficult. However, I never waited more than 10 minutes for a ride, even at 1 a.m. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and my room’s AC worked great. As a former military guy, I’m pretty easy to please: give me a clean room and cold air, and I’m...

「The property and staff were nice..A few take aways, 1) 3pm Check-in means 3pm no flexilbilty on that,, 2) After we checked-in the two specialty restaraunts were already booked up. for our entire stay..(our stay was from Mon_Fri.)...Bummer. 3)The resort sits on the side of a mountain, so the pool and beach are a distance..so you need to be in decent shape for the hike back..」

「Nice hotel, not very big. Food was ok but my friend got food poisoning at the hibachi.」
