「The room was tiny, perhaps the smallest I have ever stayed in (of > 200 rooms). No parking was included and paid parking was difficult to find. The room was a small private bedroom with a double bed, and wardrobe/armoire. The room was cared for. The shower stall worked well, but the bathroom had little elbow room. 「Hmmm .....not quite what we expected for the price and from description online. Old style hotel, small rooms and even smaller bathroom, thin walls, neighbours on balcony smoking which fills room with smoke. No Aircon so you have to have window open. Attention to detail in room was very poor - light shade falling apart and fill of dead flies. Towels thin and grey. Breakfast however was very good. They are very busy with e-bike groups so I guess they won't worry too much about poor reviews....

「The hotel is 15mins walk from train station but at the center of the altstadt. It has a small staircase at the front door, but it has elevator inside so very convenient overall. Basically you can go everywhere you need within 5-15mins walk. It actually has a sauna you can use once you reserve with the hotel staff. German style breakfast was nice. View from the window is 100% excellent if you are located on the high floors. No air-con though only fans in the room in summer.」

「Beautiful location, very clean room. Great view of the Moselle river and the surrounding spectacular landscape. Great dining and breakfast. Unfortunately we did not dine at the nicely set up white-linen Restaurant except breakfast. We were unaware (or did not read the fine prints) that we should have called ahead if we are arriving after 6 PM on the first night of check-in. We arrived late due to late start from Frankfurt. But the owners were kind enough to check us in. The only major draw back...

「Check in was very confusing they should just say, Go to Burg hotel check-in office because in the end that's where we went and the lady there was excellent and got us checked in . I would say that the instructions were more complicated than they needed to be .」

「Staff is friendly and helpful and trustworthy. Breakfast is good. A little cramped but lots of variables. Nice to be able to park at the property. Close to downtown Cochem. Good view of the castle or river depending on the room.」
