Built during 600 to 1000 CE, Ellora Caves lie in the Sahyadri hills in Aurangabad and is a 2-hour drive from the Ajanta Caves. The Ellora Caves comprise Hindu, Buddhist and Jain temples and over a 100 caves with only 34 open to the public excavated from the basalt cliffs in the Charanandari hills. Ellora Caves served as lodgings to the travelling Buddhist and Jain monks besides being a site for the trade route. There are 17 Hindu caves, 12 Buddhist and five Jain caves with deities, carvings and even monasteries depicting the mythology of each religion.

"I cannot find a single thing to complain about in this hotel. It was very good from the service from dining to inroom service to the variety of aminities available within the hotel which inc a small swimming pool. Exceptional service and attention to detail. The staff where excellent at their jobs with attention to detail excellent. There was no attitude and the hotel had a pleasant vibe. This is mainly due to the hard working staff and also the guests who enjoy peace and quiet and efficient and eagar service etc Luxury is what i can describe this hotel. Thank you for making everyday a pleasant day and allowing me to get some much needed sleep! Includes the guests who understand what the value of peace and quiet is "
