Bhutan Centennial Tavern

""Hotel.com" collected full money in advance from me and they have not paid to the hotel and the hotel refused to give me room saying that they are not part of this "Hotel.com" and they never given their rooms for booking and they have never received any money. In spite of several emails "Hotel.com" they have not replied so far. Same thing happened with Paro Galling hotel and they also said exactly the same thing. None of the hotels have any knowledge about "Hotel.com""

"Overall the place is okay - great view of the valley and clean rooms. As the hotel is located on top of a mountain it's quite remote from any restaurant which makes you bit dependent on their in-house restaurant which isn't the best. Even after requesting the food to be less oily it was everytime floating in oil (might not be a big issue to some but let it happen for 4 days and then see), taste is not good either but the charge is exorbitant. The staff doesn't go any extra mile for anything,...

"Extremely bad. Booked with hotels.com which charged 2880 for a 2000 room. Cheated and got substandard facilities. You must avoid both the hotel and hotels.com for booking anything. Both are fraudulent agencies. "

"Very nice place, with good food. But very expensive, particularly by Bhutanese standards. There's another place with a fantastic view directly overlooking the Punakha Zhong that is included in the package tour prices, so you don't have to pay extra. "

"Hotel location, service is excellent. Nice garden, flowers. Punakha valley is awesome from this resort. Very nice view from room and balcony. Food is costly. There is not much option to eat nearby. Also for my case Hotel reception was not aware about my booking, they didn't get any intimation from hotels.com regarding my booking. Luckily I had the mail chain for confirmation."

"This hotel is non-existent (the local guide said that it has been converted into a school since covid) and we only found out when we arrived at night and the property was closed with no one around. Hotels.com still took our money... and refused to refund despite many attempts to explain the situation."
