"Bristol Hotel closed as i found out after booking, however staff contacted me and offered better room right on Baku's richest shopping street (Nizami) owned by same owner as Bristol was, I can not say enough good things about how the staff handled this and how far they went out of way to offer top service! "Great location. Close to all prominent areas of the city. Opposite to a mall and walkable to Caspian sea area. Overlooking Caspian sea. Amazing breakfast buffet. Would highly recommend this property. "

"My check-in didn't happen. I was told there were no available rooms and sent to another (substandard) hotel. Next days I was told my six-day reservation didn't exist. Found later. Management was approved by email a few times for compensation for this kind of treatment but didn't even bother to reply. The hotel itself had many issues... "

"A great hotel situated at the best end of the promenade offering beautiful views of the sea and flame towers (sea view rooms). Breakfast is lavish and the staff go out of their way to accomodate different food choices (we are vegetarians). Only on one day room was not serviced and had to remind them for it."

"Hotel rooms were good with small kitchenette especially the family room. Good view. Clean. Multiple TVs and seating area. Good bathrooms. Earlier room cleaning by noon would be better. Gym equipment need an upgrade. Hotel was kind to make an evening social for guests with snacks and drinks. No strong hotel policy on guests making excessive noise / music all night. No standard services like bell boy to help with luggage outside normal working hours!"

When I did the check out they wanted charge me again because they not found my payment online. Completely a mess. It's not a HOTEL,is a flat and they rent the rooms."

"Fawlty Towers is centrally located within easy walking distance of the downtown pedestrian streets and waterfront promenade, but the surrounding neighborhood is a bit sketchy. The surrounding 2 blocks are rather dingy and full of dive bars. The hotel and room are clean. There was air conditioning (a big plus in Baku's heat). The free breakfast is very generous. The staff is nice and very helpful (but occasionally they have someone working who only speaks Azerbaijani and not English or Russian)....
