Room and all areas of hotel were very clean, bed very comfortable and beautiful location by the river in a quiet area. Room had everything you’d need. The hotel and room in particular does need a little TLC. Furniture old and worn, carpet in room needed replacing and walls could do with a new lick of paint. Grounds have seen better days but have a lot of potential.

We enjoyed the location by the river, and our room (one of the cottage rooms) was really comfortable, especially the bed. We ate supper in the restaurant, generous portions of pasta. The breakfast was a help-yourself buffet, with hot options, so it felt very easy in every way. Lots of parking space, definitely a place we will come back to with our motorbikes.

The room smelled like smoke and musty! It had mold all over the carpet and walls. We left, we immediately got a headache from the terrible smell. We left and had to find a new place to stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights for my partners birthday. The hotel is in a lovely spot by the river with a nice area outside to relax in. It's ideally situated between 2 national trust properties, (both of which are well worth a visit). The room itself could do with a bit of TLC, but it was clean and comfortable. Slept really well. Food was decent, self serve buffet breakfast which had quite agood choice. The staff were friendly and there was plenty of parking on site. Had a pleasant stay overall and would definitely stay here again.
