I would never stay here. I left within an hour of arriving. My non smoking room smelled like smoke. I found a pack of cigarettes in the room, the phone didn't work and they had the a/c heater disconnected. I had to always push a button at the front desk for someone to help me. The pictures I reviewed did not match the room I walked into. The sheets were dirty. There were burn marks on the shelf from cigarettes sitting there. I quickly left and went to another hotel. I strongly recommend staying away from here.

It was horrible! Elevator was out so had to climb 3 flights of stairs, then the door was stuck so had to walk back downand up again. Finally got in and the AC wasn't on and it was soooo hot. This is TEXAS ya know, theAC should have been on so we wouldn't have to walk into a hot room. It took 2 hrs to cool off but was never really cool. Then trot back down 3 flights of stairs again with our dogs and bags.

Bad service but comfortable room once cleaned.
They told me if I pay I can check in at 6:30 am. That was a lie. I get there he told me I would not be able to check in until 2pm. I get there and the room was filthy. I asked for another room and that room was worst and the door was left open. I told him I would come back at 3pm. I had room 101 it was freshly cleaned. The service was horrible. He was so mean to me. But when the room got cleaned the stay was better.

It's a very nice property for a Motel 6... must have been another hotel before Motel 6 took over the property (has an indoor pool). Room 101 actually has a full size fridge and two burner stovetop. To enter, go North on 81 and turn right at the James Wood Chevrolet dealership.

As far as Motel 6 goes, this location is too notch. Interior doors makes for a quieter sleep, the interior hallways are clean and well maintained. The in room fridge was older, but the microwave was good. No coffee maker, but we brought our own. Mattress was comfy-ish, but a bit too firm in a cheap way.

It’s just what you should expect of a motel 6. Simple no amenities. A clean place to sleep. Towels, microwave etc were a tad less than average but clean and what you should expect. Rooms faced inside which is important to me. Staff great.

Filthy, smelly, stray cats are fed in the parking lot, pool and hot tub are both dirty and cold. Spend a couple more dollars and stay somewhere legit.

Lizet (front desk lady) was super friendly and accommodating. I drove my EV (which was almost out of power - and nowhere to charge). I came to the motel to rest up and thinking I'd figure something out later, but as luck would have it, I found a 30A twist-lock (NEMA L6-30) receptacle outside the parking area; which Lizet was happy to let me use.
I woke up to a fully charged car! On top of that, room was spacious and clean. I even used the pool and hot tub which was refreshing. Overall a very good experience and Lizet was a life-saver to let me charge my EV. Super happy with my stay!

Very disgusting as soon as you walk in the door there’s just piles of dirt behind the door and underneath the bed, bed sheets are not clean. Mattresses are almost black…even the worker told me “yeah the third floor is always nasty”

We arrived a little after 8 PM. Desk clerk told me my comfirmed, booked room was not cleaned and would not be available until the following day. The desk clerk said that there was only one other room available but I would have to pay extra for it. I have had minor issues with Motel 6 each of my last 4 bookings with them. This was their last chance. I refused the higher priced room which they refused to give me at my original rate and went next door to best western. People there were very nice and had a room available for us. It was a higher price, but worth it to me because the service was so much better. I will avoid Motel 6 from now on. I will still have the battle of getting Motel 6 to refund my prepaid charges. Lesson learned.

I have used Motel 6 for years. I'm a reward member and the whole deal. NOT ONCE BUT TWICE NOW, i have attempted to book a room here in Decatur for when i get into town at around 3 to 5 am just until check out at 11am some 8 to 6 hours of hospitality. Both times i have been told i will have to pay for another day because she cannot change the reservation on her end and its all because thier own guidelines end the options at around 2am. She reiises to allow the reservation to be applied to only those hours. WOW...I went to Best Western and they welcomed me and quickly. Got my keys ready and set ME in motion to a shower and review of work for my fastidious check out and drive home. Thank goodness there are some who realize my business pays the bills and threatening two days charges simply because they are unwilling to be a tiny bit more understanding rather than mildly unreasonable.

All around the window had mold also along the ceiling and walls had mold. Dogs barking all night. Got woke up at 5am from the floor above us taking a shower and it leaking into our room. This was a totally nightmare for me and my daughter

I found over five dead bugs in our room. The toilet was lose and felt like it wasn’t bolted down right. No hot water to take a shower and the pool was really dirty
