Everything was great for what we needed. There's even a pathway down to a grassy area right on the Housatonic River - great place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning.
Only complaint was having to wait 10 minutes to check-in because no one was in the office when we arrived (3pm).

Nice quiet hotel out of town
Stay here to visit family nearby for a few days. Nice place just outside city limits fairly quiet. Some of the tables in our room were too big, which made it difficult to get to the refrigerator but besides that it was a great stay. The couple that runs it is very friendly & polite.

My stay was wonderful and Rocky at the desk was great!
I admit that I booked this stay hastily after realizing that most of western CT was already sold out. After confirming I saw several negative reviews on this site. At first, I was concerned, but I quickly noticed that those remarks were all 3-5 years old.
Maple Leaf has a new owner and the rooms have been renovated. No, it’s not the Marriott or Hilton, but my experience was wonderful. Everything was clean. The river walk at the rear of the property is absolutely beautiful. The Maple Leaf is a steal
