Lovely property across the street from Capo Beach, a mile or so from the center of Dana Pt. Unexpectedly beautiful for the price - rooms, fire pits, Spanish colonial tiling, and lounge area. Excited for when their resto-bar opens; will complete the picture!

If you’re like me and you prefer boutique hotels over big brands, this place delivers. Plenty of character adds to the appeal. Small room but the patio really extends your living space and was private. I was disappointed to learn that the restaurant/bar were not yet open under the new ownership. I probably would have booked it anyway for the charm and the location. Just up the beach from Dana Point and convenient to local coffee shops and stores within a mile.

We decided to head to the coast, and we found the Capistrano Coast House. I tell you what, I absolutely loved it as soon as I walked into the lobby area. The folks at the front desk were very nice. I loved the atmosphere and the decor. We were brought up to our room, which was very nice, and as soon as we walked in, we both just fell in love with it. The Spanish decor is just beautiful. I wish we could just live there lol. Very clean. The beds were super comfortable and were very picky, and of course always a great view of the ocean. Loved it. Highly recommend you check it out.

Advertised as ocean view, which is kind of true, but you have to look across and listen to 5 lanes of PCH and busy train tracks to enjoy. Additionally during our two night stay the room was never cleaned and basically no amenities. Finally, tiny rooms.

A very charming hotel. Loved the location and the convenient parking next to the rooms. Especially loved the mattress and pillows, which were incredibly comfortable. Staff were also extremely polite and helpful. Only critiques would be to remove the custom frames around the TV so you can easily turn it on/off and change channels without standing right on top of it. We will be back!

Adorable place in Dana Point. The decor is extremely well done in an old Spanish mission theme. The staff is very friendly. It was perfect for a quick, affordable escape near the beach. One disappointment was that the walls were super thin and we could hear everything from the next room. Another thing to note for people unfamiliar with the area is that Pacific Coast Highway is in between the hotel and the beach. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

One of my favorite stays in awhile. The hotel is so beautiful and the small upscale touches like Le Labo shampoo and robes were appreciated. I loved the record player so much! The only thing I would note is that the breakfast was a bit lacking. We got there around 8:30 and there were only a couple of tiny muffins and a granola bar left and nothing was restocked. It wasn’t a big deal, but just helpful to note that you’ll likely still need breakfast. The service was outstanding, and we can’t wait to come back.

Cozy beach front property old school vibes if it wasn't for the ac not working properly 😑 n one window wouldn't lock up, also old lamps falling apart, i believe if the AC was working properly and little things like the lamp in the window, I would probably give it a 4 star review. Also, there are no phones in the room. I was allowed to check in maybe two hours earlier , which was a plus

If could give this hotel 1,000 stars, I would! The decor was absolutely stunning and reminded us of our favorite places in Puerto Vallarta. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the two fireplaces made for the perfect nightcap and a truly relaxing evening. The staff at the front desk were amazing—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The amenities were top-notch, including Le Labo shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion (the same brand sold at Nordstrom). The view was breathtaking, and to top it all off, there was a record player in the room with our favorite band, Stick Figure, ready to play. It felt like every detail had been thoughtfully curated to create a memorable experience. This will be our one and only spot for future staycations. We can't wait to come back!
