Pool area was great size, room was overlooking water and big size with comfortable bed and clean bathroom facilities. Breakfast buffet had a good selection. Would stay here again.

We were at this hotel during Tet, pool closed at 4pm, short staffed due to holidays, and the town was basically closed Think this hotel is suited more to families than couples, shame we didn't get to experience more, thinking it was just bad timing on our part.

Property is beautiful. The breakfast is amazing! Kim at front desk is SUPER helpful and helped us plan our day of adventures. The hotel is also a very short walk to the beach! The spa at the hotel is also worth visiting!

Great value hotel

This hotel is about 5mins walk from the beach, nothing much around the hotel except a few coffee bar and seafood restaurants. The hotel/room is clean and the buffet breakfast has a large selection of food. Given its price, i would rate this hotel a 4/5.

Very nice hotel with very attentive and polite service ! My family enjoyed swimming in the roof top bar and enjoyed our afternoon tea here with spectacular views ! Breakfast was delicious, offered a wide range of international food! Yum! Will definitely stay here if I go back to Hoi An

Nice Staff and Close to beach

The staff here are all so nice and friendly!! They are all so helpful. The location is pretty good as well. It is close to the beach and convenience stores! The pool is pretty nice too and there is a pool bar. They serve fresh juices with are actually made of real fruit! The rooms are clean and neat. The beds are comfy. Just maybe changing the “sitting area/lobby” on the room floors would make it better. And leaving the lights on!! And it would be better having some more key cards. I would definitely come here again!

Liked it so much we came back!

My partner and I stayed here twice within a week; the first was two nights, arriving 22/02/18, the second for one night, 01/03/18. Both stays were excellent. Everything from the staff, the hotel itself, the location and breakfast buffet was perfect. Both times we had a beautiful ocean view room, overlooking the swimming pool. We enjoyed very much the EXTENSIVE breakfast buffet, being able to sample many breakfast items we in North America would not be familiar with. Excellent! The staff went above and beyond our expectations to make our stay superb. Everyone recognized us on our return and treated us like returning friends. The front desk staff, from Miss Phuong, Miss Thoa, Mr Khanh and Mr Tuan Anh were professional, kind and keen to help us with anything we needed. The staff in the breakfast room were very polite and efficient; of particular note was Miss Minh Thao, who was very sweet and made sure our coffee cups were always full. The young woman playing the traditional stringed musical instrument was a very nice surprise. Thank you everyone! The hotel was VERY busy with Korean bus tours, so perhaps that is why we, being independent travellers, received much attention; perhaps why the Skybar, with it's spectacular ocean and city view, and the pool areas were fairly quiet (although the pool, being unheated, was fairly cold). Overall we had a most impressive stay and we would both HIGHLY recommend the Royal Lotus to others.

Great place for Family Bonding

Walking distance to the beach.

Stayed over 9 different hotels during the 3 weeks in Vietnam. Royal lotus is clean and staff are pleasant to deal with. However guests seems to be going out of hotels instead of using hotel amenities. Don't get us wrong as hotel is clean and room is decent. But when looking next door to other hotels and the swimming pools and bars are busy with people. We extending 2 more nights and moved to risemount next door and it was a different vibe and seem to enjoy it more. Overall what we learnt from all hotels we have stayed at that there will be pros and cons regardless of hotel. But as long as you find things to enjoy it's the main point of the holiday. Writing this review and currently in Japan majority will complain about room size but it's the norm over here.

not ideal for solo traveler

The hotel is new and well-equipted, yet i don't recommend it to solo traveler. When i was at the front door with my 2 luggages, the employee who was at the door saw me; we quickly exchanged a gaze and he instantly looked away. I know they were busy with group travelers, but leaving me alone with my bulky belongings and not asking anything is unprofessional. There were 3 receptionist that night, 1 was busy, yet the other 2 seemed avoiding my eyes until i told them i want to check into my room... Overall i don't have any other issue; my room was nice and clean, the breakfast was good, but next time when i go to Da Nang, i might pick another hotel since i didn't feel welcomed here.

Little things make a difference

The hotel has a lot of potential, it is modern, clean and lovely staff but it is positioned on an enormous coastal building site at the moment. We counted endless tower block hotels going up. This one 2 blocks from the sea and a nice walk for watching fishermen in their huge coricle style boats, but nothing else close by of interest. The pool, our main reason for choosing it, was closed, for building work and we had no warning having booked a long time ago. We were tired and once clean and cool we decided not to go out for dinner as it entailed a sticky walk again. We had an appalling meal in the hotel with steamed chicken so tough I could not chew through it and cold rice and would have faired much better in a street cafe or one of the many live seafood restaurants along the shore. We were accompanied by two lovely singers but we felt very awkward as we were the only people eating! The coffee at breakfast was cold, and a lot of the amazing choice of food had been there ages and was dried out, it was only 9 am. The Vietnamese food was better than the more European things. Our room had a partition door to the one next door and we could hear every conversation, even the person at the end of the phone when our neighbour was talking! They went to bed at a reasonable time so we were able to sleep but they were talking loudly again by 6 am. We discussed these things with the duty manager who gave us a free personal car to the door of our next hotel in Hoi An in recompense.

Nice hotel with excellent staff and 5 minute walk to My Khe beach. Close to lots of seafood. The breakfast is really good and staff go out of their way to try to accommodate. Would definitely stay here again. Scooter rental coast about $100k dong per day but you can scoot over to Marble Mountain in 10 minutes

Great Stay in Royal Lotus!

Everything about the Royal Lotus Hotel was absolutely great. Starting from the amazing and indefinite choice of the breakfast buffet and tasty food in their restaurant, to the excellent room service and house-keeping, cute little Kids Club, great swimming pool, and very cozy SKY BAR with live music. And the most appreciated from our side was the customer service and understanding of the hotel's Duty Manager when our daughter got high fever. The hotel is perfect, you just have to choose the right season (from Mar - Oct) to visit Danang and enjoy your stay to the fullest.
