We can start with our arrival on Sunday, August 21,2022. My husband went in to register and no one was there nor were they there for 20+ minutes. He screamed, he opened doors and Nothing. He came back to the car and I started calling the phone number assigned to Whitefish Lodge and Suites in Crosslake. Finally, as I was about to hang up someone answered. When I said we were at the front desk and no one was there I was told "it's so late, I hadn't expected anyone." I checked the time, it was 6:28 P.M. Once registered and assured we had a room close to the elevator which I'd requested because of knee surgery and recovery from Covid, we went UP to the second floor and walked 3/4 the way down to our room. I complained when we went out of dinner I told the woman of my request and she said, " there was nothing on your reservation." I had it on my phone and she said they'd see what they could do the next day. Never saw her again.
We had appointments the next day, we're remodeling our cabin, a place that's been in my husbands family for over 70 years and when we returned, again no one at the front desk. We were also attending a family reunion with others who live up there year round...
The beds and bedding were so uncomfortable, quilt was too heavy, couldn't get the darn t.v. figured out, in adequate lighting and no clock!
over charged and paid for a suite for 5, if we stood up like cord wood.
No need to go on. You get the message. Never Again at Whitefish!
