Wood close to Pex Hill near Rainhill & Cronton Blue bells in the wood near Pex Hill Cronton, looking North through the wood towards Junction 7 of the M62 motorway at Rainhill Stoops. Pex Hill, a favourite local beauty spot with a quarry for rock climbers to practice their skills and Liverpool University has an Observatory at the top of Pex Hill, open to the public by prior arrangement on some clear nights for viewing the sky & stars.

View from a field near Rainhill. This is a view looking south west from SJ 504 897. To the right of picture is a radio mast. What should have been the subject of this picture was a sewage farm and should be centre of picture. It's either very well hidden by trees and bushes or it no longer exists although there is something visible on the aerial map at multimap so I think further investigation is in order...
