Then told that we had the wrong room and that we were not booked in despite having paid up front so had to be moved to another room. Small area to eat breakfast with total confusion as only space for about 12 people and 16 were staying...

Examples: He let me drive his tractor, he did my laundry, he drove me to see WWI sights nearby, his B&B is clean and comfortable, his homemade jam is to die for, he patiently spoke French with me. I could go on but suffice it to say that I had a very good time at Le Clos Xavianne. "

"Found this place absolutely delightful, and wish I had booked 2 days so I could explore what looked like a lovely town.. Room was lovely, clean, comfortable. My only "issues" were 1. The parking is on road parking, which is fine, but you could end up parking quite far down the road like I had to. 2. The stairs. I battle with stairs and there were 4 flights to get up to my room. So, if like me you battle with stairs, this isn't ideal for you. But otherwise, absolutely delightful!"
