"After difficulty finding and getting to the barge. (I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. Loved the decor in the Art Deco room of the Barge. The hosts provide everything needed, even putting milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. "The room was beautiful. Very comfortable bedding. Excellent amenities. The valet staff were very efficient and easy to access. The plumbing needs a bit of updating. The tall tub wall made getting into the shower a little difficult. (We’re healthy but 62.) And the water surged hot and then cool. Our adult son was in a different room and did not experience what we did. "

"We truly enjoyed our stay at First Name. Stayed two nights with out two dogs and would definitely come here again if ever in Bordeaux again. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was super comfortable and all staff were very nice and courteous. The food was excellent and the location just a few minutes walk from the center. "
