Footpath south west from Creaton Leaving Creaton past paddocks and a stable, the Macmillan Way long distance path picks up a good series of footpaths running south west, heading for more rolling Northamptonshire countryside.

The Macmillan Way near Creaton On this very good path, part of the Macmillan Way, the predominant colour is yellow, whichever direction you look. There appears to be more rape planted in this parish than anywhere else in England. The single respite is the green woodland of Creaton Covert rising in the middle distance.

More rape across the stream This stream flows southwards to join the River Brampton and then the River Nene. Extensive arable land around here mainly used for a rape crop this year.

Room was lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful. Lost a star as breakfast was a bit underwhelming, tiny, quite greasy sausages, just cooked bacon, slightly odd scrambled egg but horror of horrors, coffee from a "jug" 🙃.

A very comfortable experience with very nice service, and clean rooms all around. We requested for a sofa bed in the room but it wasn’t made at the time of arrival; fortunately the staff quickly made one for us.
