The hotel was wonderful. The nicest skiing hotel I’ve ever stayed at - the restaurant was superb in the evenings and the bar is great fun with a great view of the slopes. The gym and sauna are excellent too and barely used. The room I stayed in was small but well designed, as you expect for a ski hotel where the rooms are rarely big. The wood panelling was charming and it perfectly balanced the charm of being in the alps with being a luxury hotel.

We had an amazing stay at the Hotel Portetta. The rooms are cozy and well appointed. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. They are very knowledgeable and easily sort out anything you need (from airport transfers to guides). There is a lovely spa and not just a ski room, but a ski shop (where you can rent equipment, etc.). Hotel Portetta is ski-in-ski-out, a few strides from the Courchevel Moriond gondola. The restaurant and bar are cozy and welcoming and the food is lovely. Breakfast is included and is tasty and substantial. We had never been to Courchevel and lucked out by staying at 1650. 1650 is smaller than 1850, but it is relaxed and friendly. It is easy to get anywhere in the valleys from there. 1650 has everything you want - some lovely restaurants: Petit Savoyard (for some authentic Savoie fare), Bon Rencontre is a great wine bar and the Funky Fox is lively and unpretentious. We had a fantastic week, and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in 3 Vallees.

This is a wonderful hotel and have been coming for years. However there's a shift in clientele and now attracts a lot of large groups and families with babies/toddlers. Personally found this frustrating as the lounge and dining room and breakfast room consistently had screaming babies/toddlers around
