"Initially thought it had a bit of a hostel/basic vibe to it, but it was very clean and comfortable with a good shower, which is all we need. Receptionist and lady in the breakfast room both friendly and helpful. Only stayed two nights but would happily stay again/stay longer. The location is excellent, car parking much closer than you think (literally a minute walk from the hotel to the car park entrance, though you do have to go the long way round to access the car park in the car). Breakfast (extra) is perfectly good, and just on the corner of the street is an excellent cafe doing breakfast/brunch if you want to eat somewhere else. Just down the road are plenty of other options. Just to note, I have mobility issues and use a walking stick (sometimes two) - this hotel does have a couple of steps to the front door but has a lift right inside the door and the street itself is on a slight incline then flattens out for a nice walk to eateries and shops. I had no problems at all apart from my usual fatigue when I try to do too much. Our room also had a walk in shower. The only minus for me was no kettle in the room (I do like a coffee first thing), but with so many options so close at hand it wasn't a problem. On the whole, amazing value for money and will stay there again."
