"The concept of Seaside Hotel seems like it had a lot of potential, but unfortunately the property feels poorly maintained and in need of significant updates.
Our stay started with a self-check-in because no staff were available when we arrived. The first room was acceptable, but there was visible rust in several areas and the room felt damp. After showering, we discovered there was no shampoo or body wash provided, and shortly afterward the bathroom lights stopped working. Thankfully, the property manager was very responsive and offered immediate assistance as well as an upgraded room. Her willingness to help is the main reason I am giving the staff a higher rating.
The upgraded room was larger but lacked basic conveniences, such as console tables in the master bedroom and additional mirrors for guests getting ready. Housekeeping was also disappointing. Rather than cleaning the room, staff only removed trash and replaced towels. During our stay, we also encountered roaches, which raised concerns about overall cleanliness.
The biggest disappointment was the third-floor balcony. While we were excited about the ocean view, the area contained broken seating, boarded-up sections, and no comfortable place to sit and enjoy the scenery. The surrounding view also showed visible trash and neglect.
Overall, the staff tried their best and were courteous and accommodating, but the property itself needs substantial maintenance, better housekeeping, and more attention to guest comfort."
