Location!!!

La Avenida is our favorite place to stay in Coronado. It is affordable for our family, and very close to beach, restaurants, and shopping.

The customer service was excellent. The room was nice but smelled weird. It was in a great location and you can walk to where you need to go. Parking was easy.

Clean and convenient

This is a very basic no frills motel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are a place to have a comfortable place to sleep during your visit to the island. We’ve stay here when we visit family on the island. It’s close to lots of restaurants, has free parking, and is always clean. It isn’t fancy but we will come back on our next stay.

Clean and Friendly

This is the second time staying at La Avenida Inn. It is a clean friendly no frills motel perfectly located on Coronado Island. I am a marathon swimmer who also kayaks for other swimmers when swimming around the island. If I were coming on vacation I might spend a little more for a hotel with a few more amenities but La Avenida suits my purposes fine. Most importantly the beds are comfy and the staff is very friendly. Also, all the fun stuff on the island is within walking distance.

Rooms are adequate at best, more like a hospital room than a hotel room. Very noisy so don't plan to sleep, room above sounded like they were stomping all over the room, people outside in the walkway sounded like they were in our room, and we could hear every car that drove by on the street

I liked the convenient parking and the simple clean rooms. The staff was helpful to me and courteous. I love how close it was to the beach and to all of the shops. The only downside is the noise level due to thin walls of the building. We were on the bottom floor and could hear everything from our neighbors upstairs. The room did not have curtains to keep the outdoor light out at night and this made it difficult to get a good night’s rest.

Zero frills and maybe request second floor

It's definitely a motel, but the location is fantastic. We could hear our neighbors above and next to us as well as the cleaning crew/parking lot both right next to our room. For what we paid I would have appreciated being able to move rooms when I requested, but we didn't get much help from the front desk. He seemed like he wanted to be somewhere else.

Noisy in 1st floor room

1st floor room was very noisy with people moving about upstairs all night. Request a 2nd floor room. Bathroom was clean but could have been better. paint in tub was cracked. Floor and baseboards needed more attention. The rooms are a good size. Location is great.

This hotel has the best location and some great workers. Although it’s dirty and not ran well. The office was closed when they said they would be open. No coffee or pastries like it says. The rooms need deep cleaning and painted. The bed just has flat sheets with old blankets, no fitted sheet or comforter. Wish they would do better.

What a shame

Internet went down completely for a whole 12 hour period and staff did nothing and did not care Staff were completely disregarding of guests Rooms were not serviced Room was furnished dismally… Whole place is poor value for money except for the excellent location.

To start, I want to say the staff are all incredibly nice! It was the room itself.. The bathtub literally had patchwork done to it.. the TV didn’t work, fridge was barely cold and not adjustable, power outlet situation was strange at best and AC smelt musty. There was only maybe a third of a roll of toilet paper and no backup roll

The General Manager of this property was rude and attempted to double bill us despite written policy for pets. No water for most of the first evening, very uncomfortable room, holes in bedding and mold in bathroom.

This was the worst place we have EVER stayed! Outside not quite as bad but the room was horrible!!! If I could give zero stars I would! $861 for two nights in a complete dump!!! Basically zero furniture and what in there was warped old and broken! No coffee maker no microwave… extra small 2’ x 2’ refrigerator that was sitting on the floor!! Bottom was full of water… bathroom was HORRIBLE!! TV hung on the wall sideways… and that’s just a few things. Oh and also AC would run for about 30min then completely shut off!

It was clean but...No frills to say the least! New flooring but it squeaked and made strange noises with every footstep. The bed moved all over on laminate floor because there was no headboard to anchor it & mattress made noise with any mvmt. Bare bones minimal sparse old furnishings oddly placed. NO coffeemaker or hairdryer. Pool area was closed so absolutely nowhere to sit outside. Not sure how they get such good reviews! Again, clean and great location but thats all they have going for them. I know you get what you pay but they should only be charging $99 per night in comparison to other places on the island.
