"The room (standard Queen) was clean and comfortable but a bit small. The building in general showed its age with our room in need of minor repairs and the facility experienced several leaks during a significant rain even while we were there. Servicing of the rooms was a bit hit a miss. The two restaurants on site we very good and the staff there did an outstanding job. The location was fantastic as it is right across the road form the St. Lawrence river with access to the waterfront trial immediately across the road. I would rate this hotel as 3 star at best."

"Stayed here for one week. The bed was comfy and soft. Sheets and towels were impeccable. But more importantly for me was the air conditioner kept up with the 30 degree heat. And ran quiet. Allowing me to sleep. The room was quiet from the Main Street noise. But the most important part of my stay was the staff. The manager was one of the most helpful attentive people I have ever met. He listened to my requests and responded fast to replace items. It’s clear he has a strong work ethic. If you are around the Cornwall area. I definitely recommend this spot for the price. 10/10 would stay here again."

"A Stay Defined by Aggravation The Comfort Inn in Cornwall deserves its two-star rating. The word that best describes our two-night stay is aggravation—not because of one major problem, but because of many small ones. The room was dated and the bed only moderately comfortable. It appeared clean at first, but the carpet turned the bottoms of white socks black. The sheets did not seem especially fresh, and a strong air-freshener smell appeared to be masking smoke or other odors. About an hour after arrival, an employee tried to enter our room because the hotel’s app showed it as unoccupied. He was very embarrassed, and it was clearly not his fault. The old swipe-card system was especially frustrating. The back door usually required at least six swipes, once taking 17 attempts. Our cards also stopped working twice, requiring trips to reception for resets. Other guests were having the same problem. The air conditioning worked well, the shower was passable, the room was quiet enough, and the location was convenient. Breakfast was acceptable, though the powdered eggs, tiny sausages and terrible coffee were disappointing. The front-desk staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel gives the impression that management has delayed needed upgrades and cut costs too visibly. It may suit workers or undemanding travelers, but I would not stay again."

"We were allowed to leave our bikes in the meeting room next to check in which was helpful. The rambling layout meant a long walk to our room. The decor is aging and fixtures dated but the room and halls were clean. Breakfast was not included in the rate making this stay more expensive than other, more amenable stops on our trip."

"I was in Room 125. It was clean and easily accommodated me. The bathroom is a tad small, but this time I was on my own, so I could occupy all the space. Dinner was not a success this time, but the wait staff made it right for me - I was pleasantly surprised by their generosity. Breakfast was the usual: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and potato home fries, a selection of cereal, a few fruit, yogurt, juices, milk, tea, coffee. What stands out are real dishes and utensils (no paper plates or wood utensils). Again, kudos to the cheerful wait staff."
