Casale Mattei is so lovely! A darling country cottage atmosphere (with stylish, modern details that reflect impeccable taste— in the breakfast room details especially, as well as bedroom furnishings, bedding, etc.), all of that was noticed & just pleasant & comfortable to be around. Delicious breakfast spread! There is also a beautiful pool area. There is a caffè around the corner, as well as delicious pizza, and a grocery. Bus nearby to Alba (but not on Sunday). Daniela was a wonderful hostess, who saw to our needs and pointed out dinner options (even helped with making us a dinner reservation when our phone failed). This stay was short, but taught us how to stay local & enjoy what is around you as you get to know a place a little better. Lovely. Grazie.

Exclusive - in the rustic way

We visited this delicious place for the second year in a row. The place is in a small and well-functioning village with a small supermarket, butcher, baker, osteria and several pizzerias. The host family maintains a very clean and cozy / relevant place. The rooms are all unique and very cosily furnished. The outdoor areas work well - shade under the pergola, swimming pool and a shared kitchen with accompanying dining areas in a restored carriage shelter. Entertainment includes table tennis and darts. The hostess, Daniella, is always helpful with reservations for wine tasting at nearby vineyards or a good dinner at an osteria or restaurant. We will be back here! Kathrine & Klaus

De har god situationsfornemmelse og forstyrrer ingen! Man bliver forkælet med utrolig lækkert hjemmelavet morgenmad. Intet er overladt til tilfældighederne. Værelserne er hyggelige og rene. Der er kort afstand til alle de dejlige gamle byer og vinhuse. 7 km til Alba , som har en skøn gågade og mange flotte butikker. Vi nød 3 dage der, og kunne sagtens finde på at vende tilbage !

O Antico Casale Mattei está muito bem recuperado, muito giro, o atendimento é muito simpático e genuíno. Infelizmente calhou-nos provavelmente o pior quarto pois era logo na entrada onde o barulho de entrada/saída era bastante notório. A luz também entrava facilmente apesar dos bons blackout colocados. Wifi também não chegava ao nosso quarto. Se estivermos na zona será sem dúvida para voltar.

Schöne Anlage in sehr gutem Zustand. Toller und aufmerksamer Service. Familliäre Atmosphere und kleine Aufmerksamtkeiten wie selbsgemachte Kuchen jeden Morgen beim Frühstück. Gute Ausgangslage um die Umgebung (Alba, Barolo, Barbaresco etc.) zu erkunden.

Bella Casale - Gracie mille!

Corneliano liegt super für Ausflüge in die Wunderschöne Region. Das Casale Matei wird sehr persönlich und aufmerksam geführt. Betten sind sehr bequem. Es ist ruhig und der Pool tut ausnahmslos gut. Wir würden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen.

At bo hos Daniella er 5 stjernet luksus. Skønne værelser, rene og smukt indrettet, morgenmad med hjemmelavede kager osv. Ligger man ved poolen kommer hun fluks med en isspand til at køle vandet med, eller lidt kold vandmelon. Man føler sig hjemme og forkælet.

Det mest fantastiske, hyggelige BB med en service som et bedre hotel. Hyggeligt indrettede værelser, den dejligste morgenmad, med hjemmebagt kage og mulighed for at lave frisk juice. Daniella, værtinden, er fantastisk, gør alt for at du skal føle dig godt tilpas. Desværre taler hun ikke meget engelsk, så større konversation med hende er desværre umuligt hvis du ikke kan italiensk. Et sted der kun kan anbefales på det varmeste
