My daughter had money stolen while she was there; she was propositioned and called rude names while outside on the back porch; several homeless people around, TV didn't work right, and her phone was also stolen. It appeared that numerous drug deals were taking place on the grounds.

Bare bones but clean

The hotel is old, on a side street with some sketchiness, but I was travelling without my wife and it was fine for me. The building was clean, the room was clean, but the beds are old and definitely sag a bit. My room had a kitchenette with microwave, electric cooktop, dishwasher, and full size fridge but absolutely zero kitchen supplies: No plates or bowls, no cutlery, no dish soap or dishwasher soap, no utensils, no paper towels, no cutlery, no colander, no cutting boards...NOTHING. The ice machine looks like it has been broken forever, but you CAN get ice from the front desk. The room had a decent 42" (ish) TV and a couple of desk chairs and tables but no sitting chair or loveseat. The AC was cold but did not dehumidify - everything in the room was damp. The shower was hot and had above-average water pressure, but there was just shampoo - no conditioner, no body soap. They lock the front doors at 11 pm and there is no pad to unlock the doors with your room key on the front doors - you have to go around to the back, which is sketchier than the front, to gain entrance. The hotel is conveniently located for travel, right off of I-45.

We booked this hotel same day after unexpected travel delays forced us to completely reroute our plans. We arrived around 1:30am, exhausted and just hoping for a smooth check-in. Instead, we were met with a lecture - not a welcome. Despite the hotel listing a 24/7 front desk and Expedia showing check-in available until 2am, we were told we had missed the check-in window - 3pm - 11pm - and that our rooms had been given away. After a long day of travel, we had to argue just to get into the rooms we had already paid for. Cause of course we were charged. And if that wasn’t frustrating enough, we got another lecture in the morning about their check-in policy. If you plan on arriving late, I’d strongly recommend staying elsewhere. The hassle simply isn’t worth it.

Hotel has no elevator so they try to stick you on the second floor first and you have to take the winding stairs and with alot of luggage etc, it can be a pain.. they have kitchenettes but there are no utensils, dishes or pans like the other suite hotels. There was mold in our restroom cieling that looked pretty bad.. The cart to transfer our belongs from car to room could only be used a certain way because it was taped together. The bolts and screws were on the cart but not installed.. just taped. The chair in the room almost collapsed as my daughter was trying to have her lunch.. when we looked the bolts and screws were on the floor.. The lady at the front desk was very nice and did state that they were a new hotel but based now on previous reviews, which i should have checked, they'd been open for a few years.. i will never, ever stay there again!
